AvithTV TV’s Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our streaming services, website (avithtv.com), apps, and related offerings, ensuring a fair, safe, and enjoyable experience for all users across East Africa and beyond. By creating an account, streaming content, or interacting with our platforms, you agree to these binding terms, which incorporate our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Community Guidelines—last updated December 2025 for clarity and compliance with Rwanda DPA and regional laws.​

Acceptance and Eligibility

These Terms form a legal contract between you and AvihtTV Network (ATN), a Rwanda-registered entity. You must be 13+ (or meet local age of consent) to use services; minors require parental supervision and consent. Businesses/agencies accept on behalf of their entity. Rejection means no access—delete app/account immediately. ATN may update Terms with 30 days’ notice via email/app banners; continued use signals acceptance.avithtv​

User Accounts and Responsibilities

  • Registration: Provide accurate info; keep passwords secure (no sharing). You’re liable for all activity under your account.
  • Profiles: Up to 5 per account for family; primary user controls billing/settings.

Content Usage Rights and Restrictions

ATN grants a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to stream/view content for personal, non-commercial use on authorized devices (up to 3 simultaneous streams). You may not:

  • Download/record (except offline premium feature).
  • Modify/distribute publicly.
  • Use in apps/games or AI training.
    All content licensed from partners (BBC, SuperSport)—respect copyrights; DMCA notices to legal@avithtv.com. User-generated (clips/shares) must be original/non-infringing.avithtv​

Subscriptions and Payments

  • Free Tier: Ads-supported, SD quality, no downloads.
  • Premium: Monthly/annual auto-renewal via card/MoMo/bank; no refunds for partial periods. Cancel anytime (access until cycle end).
  • Trials: First-time only; converts automatically.
  • Disputes: Provide receipts; prorated credits rare. Taxes/VAT your responsibility. Price changes notified 30 days ahead​

Intellectual Property

ATN owns all platform tech (apps, algorithms, UI)—trademarks (AvithTV logo) protected. Feedback/suggestions become our property (royalty-free). Infringers liable for damages + fees.​

User Conduct and Community Standards

Foster positivity:

  • No hate speech, violence glorification, misinformation.
  • Respect privacy—no doxxing/soliciting.
  • Moderation: AI + human review; appeals via form.
    Violations escalate: Warning > Temp ban > Permanent.​

Disclaimers and Limitations

Services “as-is”—no warranties for uptime (target 99.9%), content accuracy, or compatibility. Liability capped at 12 months’ fees paid. No consequential damages. Force majeure excuses outages (e.g., network failures).​

Termination

  • By You: Delete account in settings (data purged per Privacy Policy).
  • By ATN: For breaches, non-payment, or abuse—notice where possible.
    Post-termination: No refunds; access revoked instantly.​

Governing Law and Disputes

Rwanda law applies; Kigali courts exclusive jurisdiction. Informal resolution first (30 days via support); then arbitration (Rwanda Arbitration Center). No class actions. East African users: Local equivalents apply.africa2trust+1​

Additional Policies

  • Ads: Comply with guidelines; no skips on free tier.
  • Devices: Use official apps; void warranties for mods.
